We've listened and now offer this easy to establish blend of little bluestem, big bluestem, and Indiangrass – minus the switchgrass – per your request. We purposefully left switchgrass out of this blend for several reasons. The main reason is that switch can take over the other 3 in time because it gets so thick and tall. Another is that adding switch can lessen some of the better herbicide options used for establishment. We love switchgrass, but definitely prefer to keep it separate because it gets almost too thick and tall for ground nesting birds and other small critters. You can also order wildflower seed separately to add to this all-purpose grassland mix.
